Jeremy Wright, MP would like to thank all those who worked so hard for him during the election campaign and the people of Rugby & Kenilworth who have entrusted him with the honour of representing them as their Member of Parliament.

As your Member of Parliament, I will represent everyone in the Rugby & Kenilworth constituency, whatever their age, background or income.

As your Member of Parliament, this is what I will do:

1. I will continue to knock on doors between elections, not just at election time, in addition to holding regular 'surgeries'. That is the best way I know to stay in touch with what you think and so to represent you better.

2. When you come to me with a problem, I will fight your corner as hard as I can and work with others to get things done.

3. I will listen to different views and I will always be ready to explain how I intend to vote at Westminster. If I say that I will vote in a particular way, I will keep my word.

4. I would vote for:

• An increase in police numbers and a reduction in police paperwork.
• Removing needless Whitehall targets for hospitals and returning control of the NHS to health professionals.
• Supporting, not undermining, the authority of head teachers to improve school discipline and cutting form-filling by teachers.
• The reform of our immigration system.
• Stronger and properly-resourced armed forces.
• Increasing pensions in line with earnings and reducing means-testing for pensioners.

I would vote against:

• A European Constitution.
• A European army.
• Joining the European Single Currency.

5. At Westminster and elsewhere, I will stand up for the interests of the people I represent and for the area in which we live.
